How can I draw a house that’s a home?
How do I paint a portrait that’s a human?
How can I get us to understand each other?
My name is Bobbie Bennis (she/her), and I’m a visual artist currently based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Where I find myself artistically, I describe as a cocktail between illustration and fine arts.
My paintings often include landscapes, figurative shapes, and allegorical themes. Some are based on experience, others on imagination (my personal favorites).
In my prints you’ll often find silly animals, stripy backgrounds, confused faces with red cheeks, and a clever play of words.
My love for philosophy, poetry and emotion, as well as curiosity, humor and positivity,
can be found between my brush- and pen strokes.
Look closely. You’ll find beauty in everything.
